ABOUT CUNY SPS

Our online and on campus graduate programs meet the needs of adult students who are interested in further exploring an academic area, transitioning careers, or excelling within their current field. Offering master’s degrees in addition to bachelor’s degrees, undergraduate and advanced certificates, and professional non-degree programs, the CUNY School of Professional Studies (CUNY SPS) presents opportunities for personal growth and job mobility. AFFORDABILITY

As part of the City University of New York, we place quality, affordability, and value at the forefront of everything we do. Our tuition is among the lowest in New York State. A CUNY education costs a fraction of private school tuition. There are many financial aid options for students of all backgrounds. Our financial aid counselors will work with you to combine federal funds, scholarships, grants, loans, or veteran’s benefits to help you pay for your education.

NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES

We pride ourselves on offering networking opportunities that strengthen personal contacts and encourage collaboration. The student association, National Society of Leadership and Success, and the leadership conference connects you with your peers while the initiatives created through the Office of Career Services such as mock interview days, virtual career fairs, and the career management software system CareerLink, puts you in touch with prospective employers. Upon graduation, you’ll have access to a number of events, such as summer and spring outings, multi-campus events that bridge alumni from other CUNY schools, coffee with our dean, and alumni engagement council meetings. Additionally, our social media channels give you 24/7 access to different members of our community.

APPLICATION PROCESS

In order to be considered for admission, you will need Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale $75 non-refundable application fee Personal statement Two letters of recommendation Current Resume Official transcripts from all colleges attended Note: There are additional requirements for Nursing programs, and foreign equivalency/extra requirements for those educated outside the U.S. Some programs require an individual interview.
